You and your chef guide will spend the morning shopping at the local stores where you can purchase authentic Goan kitchen essentials: an earthen pot, a mortar and pestle, and local ingredients to be shipped to your home kitchen. The crash course will ensure that you are able to cook like a Goan local in your own home and do not forget this enriching experience.

With our chefs as your guide, embark on a culinary journey like no other. Visit the local bakeries, and experience the art of local baking and cultural heritage. Baking bread was a skill that Portuguese travellers brought to Goa, the heritage lingers, even today traditional bread making is practiced all across Goa. The local baker is revered and very fondly referred to as Podder. Try your hand at baking local bread with our chefs. Freshly baked bread will lift your spirits and add to your memories of Goa.

This is an art that is slowly being snuffed under the heavy impact of industrialization. As part of our reach out Programme, we at Azaya want to focus the spotlight on this and once again revive these traditions. We shall see and be a part of the local podders days for few hours.
